McKennaii XXL - 2100cc Mushroom grow kit
McKennaii is a Psilocybe cubensis variety known within the grower community as relatively potent, with strong visual effects frequently reported. Hard, lab-tested figures on its exact potency are lacking; the reputation rests on grower and user experience rather than controlled research. This XXL grow kit contains 2100cc of mycelium on grain substrate and is intended for anyone who has already grown with a smaller kit and is ready for a larger volume.
The kit is complete: alongside the mycelium block you get a grow bag with air filter and paper clips, plus a detailed step-by-step manual so you can get started at home without complicated preparation. With good care, a 2100cc kit can yield a substantial amount of fresh mushrooms across multiple flushes; the first flush usually produces the largest harvest.
Dosage
This product is a grow kit and contains no consumable mushrooms; the amount you eventually harvest and use is entirely up to you. Because McKennaii is described by growers as fairly strong, extra caution is wise when trying freshly harvested McKennaii for the first time: start with a small amount and build up gradually, also because the moisture content of fresh mushrooms varies per harvest.
Use
Soak the mycelium block according to the manual, then place it in the included grow bag in a bright spot out of direct sunlight, at a temperature of roughly 20 to 24°C. After soaking it typically takes 1 to 2 weeks before the first pinheads appear; the mushrooms then grow quickly and are usually ready to harvest within 5 to 7 days. Harvest just before the veil under the cap breaks for the best result.
Storage
Do not store the kit for long: it is best to set it up right after receiving it, since storing it in the fridge is only possible for 1 to 2 days without the yield suffering. Harvested mushrooms are best used fresh or dried for longer storage.
