Glass bong in a cup shape from Black Leaf
This bong from the Black Leaf brand is made of borosilicate glass and shaped like a to-go cup, with a printed label showing a cocktail recipe ("Sex & Weed on the Beach") on the outside. The cup forms the water reservoir; the plastic lid on top holds the cone-shaped bowl and the mouthpiece tube in place. The cup shape gives the bong a playful, summery look, but functionally it works like a regular small water bong.
The bowl sits on an angled downstem that reaches below the water surface, so smoke filters through the water before rising through the straight mouthpiece tube. Both glass tubes lift out of the lid separately, which makes cleaning and replacing a damaged part easier than with a bong blown from a single piece of glass. Borosilicate glass also handles temperature changes better than regular glass, which lowers the risk of cracking under heat.
Use and care
Fill the cup with a small amount of water, just enough so the bottom of the downstem sits below the surface; too much water makes the bong gurgle and can let moisture reach the mouthpiece tube. Pack the cone-shaped bowl, light it and draw through the mouthpiece. After use, remove the bowl and the tubes from the lid and clean them with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, with the salt acting as an abrasive to loosen baked-on smoke residue; rinse well with clean water until no alcohol smell remains. Let all parts dry fully before putting them back in the lid.
