Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) originally comes from East Asia, where it has been grown on hardwood logs for centuries. It is an everyday ingredient in Japanese and Chinese cooking, and these days you will find it in most European supermarkets as well. Happy Caps turns the mushroom into 500 mg capsules, so you can take it without any cooking.
Shiitake naturally contains polysaccharides, including beta-glucans. There is still little solid research on what mushroom supplements actually do, so we deliberately make no claims about health effects here. These capsules are a food supplement and are not meant to replace a varied diet or medical treatment.
Dosage
Follow the directions on the jar and do not exceed the recommended amount. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Usage
Take the capsules with a glass of water. Do not simply combine them with other mushroom extracts or medication without checking first.
Storage
Keep the jar tightly closed in a dry, dark place at room temperature and out of reach of children. Use the capsules before the best-before date on the packaging.
