Smoking Roll Deluxe 44 mm
The Smoking brand was founded in 1924 in Capellades, a small town near Barcelona with a papermaking tradition going back centuries, and belongs to Miquel y Costas, one of the larger rolling paper manufacturers worldwide. The 44 mm width used in this booklet is known as the 'Spanish' or 1¼ size: the height that has traditionally been the standard for rolling paper from the Alcoy/Alicante region, where the world's first rolling paper brands originated. This size is wider than single-wide paper but more compact than king size, making it a popular middle ground for anyone rolling an average-sized joint that's neither too thin nor too bulky.
Use
Fill the rolling paper with your ground herb, optionally adding a filter tip at one end for firmness and to stop loose bits being drawn in. Roll the paper tightly with both hands, licking the gummed strip to seal the joint, then twist the end shut. Only light it once it's fully rolled and the gummed strip is properly stuck down, so it doesn't come loose while smoking.
Storage
Store the booklet flat and dry, preferably in a closed case or box, so the thin sheets don't crease or pick up moisture. Damp rolling paper tears more easily, burns less evenly and can leave an unpleasant papery taste instead of the smooth draw it's meant to give.
At Dutch-Smart you'll also find filter tips from Elements, Flamez and Greengo, to round off your rolling paper with a firm filter.
