Tree of Life - Satya | 15 grams
Satya Tree of Life is a fragrance from the Satya range, the Indian incense house founded in 1964 by Shri Satyam Setty that became known worldwide as the maker of Nag Champa, with production based in Bangalore. Tree of Life has a warm, woody sandalwood scent that is less sweet than the classic Nag Champa and lingers in a room for longer. Sandalwood is one of the oldest and most widely used fragrance materials in the Indian incense tradition, traditionally extracted from the wood of the sandalwood tree and valued for its woody, faintly sweet character.
As is customary for Satya, the sticks are hand-rolled around a thin bamboo core, with natural herbs, wood powder and resin rolled around the core and then left to dry. A 15-gram box contains around twelve sticks.
Usage
Place a stick upright in an incense holder with an ash catcher, or lay it at an angle in a holder with a slot. Light the tip, let the flame burn for about 10 seconds, then blow it out so the stick smoulders. One stick burns for roughly 30 to 45 minutes, and the sandalwood scent lingers for a good while after. Make sure there is enough ventilation and never burn incense unattended or near flammable material.
Storage
Store the sticks dry and at room temperature, preferably in the closed box. Moisture affects how well the sticks burn and how intense the scent stays.
