Put it among the other tins in your kitchen cupboard and nobody will give it a second look: it carries the familiar turquoise Heinz Beanz label and the top appears to be sealed. The difference is underneath. Unscrew the plastic cap in the base and the tin turns out to be hollow.

The hollow space holds small valuables such as some cash, jewellery, a spare key or a USB stick. At 400 ml it has the size of a regular food tin, so it fits in any pantry.

How to use

Unscrew the cap in the base, put your items inside and screw the cap back on firmly. Then stand the tin upright among your other groceries, base down, so the closure stays out of view.
