Marihuanilla 25x extract - 3 grams | Leonurus sibiricus
Leonurus sibiricus is known in South America and Mexico as marihuanilla or 'little marihuana', a reference to the herb's popularity there as a legal alternative to cannabis. The plant originates from China, Taiwan, Korea and Siberia, and also grows naturally in parts of Mexico and Belize. It is a herbaceous plant about a meter tall, with toothed leaves and white to purplish flowers.
This extract is 25 times more concentrated than the dried herb itself: where you would need a substantial amount of the regular herb for a cup of tea, a small amount of this extract is already enough. The 3 grams in this package is therefore enough for several preparations.
Usage
Dissolve half a teaspoon of extract in about 150 ml of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes before drinking. Because the extract is highly concentrated, it is better to start with a small amount and only increase the dose next time if you want to. This 25x extract is specifically intended for the tea preparation above; the quantities for that cannot be copied directly from the dried base herb, since this extract is far more concentrated.
Storage
Store the extract dry, sealed and away from direct sunlight, preferably in its original packaging. This keeps the herb at its strongest for as long as possible.
Please note
In traditional herbal medicine, Leonurus sibiricus is associated with a stimulating effect on the uterus; for that reason, do not use it during pregnancy. Do not combine herbal extracts like this one with alcohol. Available exclusively to individuals 18 years of age and older.
